MAY THIS HELP U MY FRND!!!
MODES OF NUTRITION are of two types:
HETEROTROPHIC
and
AUTOTROPHIC
***HETEROTROPHIC : Is that mode of nutrition in which an organism cannot make its own food from simple inorganic materials like CO2 and H2O, and depends upon other organisms.

Hey mate!
Here is yr answer.......
Heterotrophic nurtrition :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
<> It is a mode of nutrition performed by the heterotrophs like fungi, amoeba, animals etc......
<> Heterotrophs :
The organisms which cannot produce their own food and depends on other organisms for their food.
<> There are three types of heterotrophic nutrition...
(i) Parasitic Nutrition
(ii) Saprophytic nutrition
(iii) Holozoic Nutrition
=> Parasitic nutrition :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• It is a heterotrophic nutrition....
• In this, the organisms gets their food by killing other organisms.
Ex: cuscuta......
=> Saprophytic nutrition :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• It is a heterotrophic nutrition....
• In this, the organisms (saprophytes) depends on dead and decaying matter (bread etc..)
• These saprophytes, splits the food outside the body and takes in.
Ex: Fungi, saprophytic bacteria.....
=> Holozoic nutrition :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
• It is also a heterotrophic nutrition...
• In this, the organisms depends on plants and other organisms for food.
• These orgainsms takes the food inside and the food is splitted inside the body...by a process called digestion.
DIGESTION :
------------------
Breaking of complex food materials into simple food materials is called digestion.
Hope it helps....
