The nutrition in which organisms cannot make their food by themselves by the simple inorganic substances and depend on outotrophs is called heterotrophic nutrition .The organisms which undergo this type of nutrition are called as heterotrophs.
There are 3 types of heterotrophs,these are described below:-
1.saprophytic nutrition-the nutrition in which organisms take their food from dead and decaying matter is called sapropytic nutrition .Ex-fungus.
2.parasitic nutrition-the nutrition in which organisms depend on other living organisms for either food or shelter or both are called parasitic nutrition .Ex-round worm found in small intestine.
3. holozoic nutrition-the nutrition in which organisms depend on aototrophs for their nutrition directly or indirectly is called holozoic nutrition. Ex-Human beings.
