Neurohypophysis is the posterior pituitary and it secretes oxytocin that is called birth hormone as it stimulates the vaginal connection during parturition and ejection of milk from mammary gland when you ones suckles from it. And another one is vasopressin that reabsorbs the electrolytes and water from the dct and collecting duct during urine formation and prevents diuresis.
