Indian Economic democracy has a major challenge of regional disparities, although in terms of economic growth there are statistical presentations with regard to developmental indicators. However, looking at the social development aspects at gross root level there is still a long way to go. If the regional disparities are not properly understood and addressed, regional disintegration on socio-political fronts could emerge as the future threat.
