Many jobs have been lost because for examples in a factory skill technician and mechanism can be replaced by computer controlled robot which can work faster for longer and more consistently in a telephone exchange operators have been replaced by computer system that make the phone connection

When computers were not there at that time peons were needed to bring files, keep files, go to the people to ask them about information that has been asked by somebody else. But, now these works can be done through computers. Also postmen were needed to carry messages but nowadays it can be through internet as it isn't time consuming.
