Take some food and grind it and put it in a taste tube. add 10 drop water in it and shake it. then add 2 drop of copper sulphate solutions in it and shake it. then add 10 drop caustic soda in it. And mix it if the colour change in to blue- black colour. Then we can know in this food item protein is present

Cool and decant the acid from the tube carefully.  Add a few drops of  ammonium hydroxide into it and note the change in colour. A bright orange colour appears. This indicates that the egg white contains proteins.
