hsk is the C4 cycle of photosynthesis where carbon is extracted from carbon dioxide to be used for the production of sugar and other compounds.
In HSK the CO2 is added initially to phosphoenolpyruvate by the enzyme PEP carboxylase which produces a four carbon compound in mesophyll cells that is later transported to bundle cells so that it can release the CO2 for use in the Calvin cycle.
