Identification of procedure of Ba₂⁺ and Ca₂⁺ From given unknown Solution.
Step -1 .
We have to Treat the mixture with 'NH₄Cl + NH₄OH ' and (NH₄)₂ CO₃ .
Step - 2
We have to take two part of the mixture and now dissolve it in CH₃COOH (acetic acid)
Step - 3
We have to Treat one part with Potassium chromate (K₂CrO₄) solution and other part with Ammonium oxalate solution (NH₄)₂C₂O₄
Result :- So we can observe that The chromate part will give us a Yellow precipitate for Barium and on the other hand the Oxalate part one will give us a White test tube for Calcium .
Hope it Helps :-)
