Aerobic respiration is the process of breaking down the food and turning them into usable energy called ATP in the presence of oxygen.

The oxygen present helps in turning the food in energy very efficiently. If the leaf of dicot plant is coated with wax it will not remain healthy for a long time because the wax will block the stomata due to which plant will not get oxygen for respiration and carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.

This will also stop transpiration and the upward movement of water in plants will also stop.
