The sailor pushes water backward with oar then that boat moves forward.

In second case I.e is swimming of a person

In this case swimmer pushes water backward with help of hands then he will move in forward direction.

In third case I.e is horse pulling a cart

In this case horse pushes ground with their legs with great force so it moves in forward direction.
