1) there become a thick layer of muscles to receive the zygote so that the zygote will not have any harm and the zygote will be safe for further growth

2) if the zygote is not formed the uterus muscles , blood vein , blood, and the unfertilized egg is expelled form the female body through vagina..this is called menstruation
