Answer:
The character Kezia is taken from the story "The Little girl". The little girl is Kezia who used to live with her parents and grandmother.
Kezia perceived her father to be a hardworking but short-tempered man who was a strict disciplinarian. He was a quiet man who did not spend much time with his children. But he looked after his family and Kezia when she considered necessary the most. Kezia was terrified of her father because he never did look at her or got to play with her. He did strike her as a cruel man. She also stuttered around her father because she was trying so hard to say the words correctly and couldn't because she was afraid of him. But as we are aware that the circumstances shape us and lead to unforeseen events. This is especially evident in the case of Kezia because her father was a living statue of fear and death to her. Kezia was initially terrified of her father because he frequently chastised her. When Kezia's mother became ill, her grandmother accompanied her to the hospital. Kezia was left alone with the cook, Alice. Grandmother had taken Kezia into her bed earlier when she was experiencing a nightmare. Kezia was having another nightmare and screamed for grandma. Father came into her room, picked up the little girl in his arms, and managed to carry her to his bed. He sat down next to her. Kezia crept up to her father, tucking her head under his arm and clutching his shirt tightly. She realised her father wasn't all bad; he had a big heart, which she could hear beating.
This made her realise that her father was a normal human being who needed support, affection, and love because he was always tired from his work. So we can say that Kezia's change of attitude toward her father was induced by circumstances, and that change was positive.
