Hey mate !!

Thanks for asking this question

Here is your answer

==========================================================

Lichens :

Some fungal species live in permanent mutually dependent relationships with blue-green algae. The fungus gets its food from alga and inturn provides protection to alga and helps in fixation and absorpation of minerals. Such relationship is called symbiotic relationship. Lichens are slow-growing dual organisms, which can be observed as large coloured patches on the bark of trees. These are sensitive to air pollutant particularly SO. They can be used as indicators of air pollution as they don't grow in polluted airs. They can also tolerate prolonged droughts.

Hope it helps you ^_^
