Answer:

Main features of band spectra.

Explanation:

All lines that are closely intact with each other and are in a regular manner they known as band spectra. It must make a band (line band).

It is a branch of the polyatomic system, i.e. optical spectra. They are also known or labeled as monotonous lines.

Few features of band spectra:

1) Its colored band.

2) Here in every two sides of the line, we will see it get separated  dark color spaces.

The lines a manner of formation as it is wider on one side and it is close at another side exactly its intensity is also falling from definitively on one side and indistinct limits on another side

The main features of band spectra of diatomic molecules are mainly its rotational spectra.

Explanation:

  • Pure rotational molecular spectra arises from the transition of the energy states in the near infrared region and microwave region.
  • The Diatomic molecules with permanent dipole will give rise to molecular spectra.
  • The lines which are closely intact with each other are known as band spectra.
  • They form a line pattern and hence are known as line bands.
  • These bands are colored bands.
  • These bands are a polyatomic system and are known as optical spectra which are labeled as monotonous lines.
  • In between these lines, there appear dark color spaces.
