They are usually monoecious with distinct male and female cones. They bear microsporophyll's directly on the cone exis. Their female cones have ovules borne on ovuliferous scales in the axils of bracts arising from the axis of cone. Coniferales represents an economically important group of gymnosperms.

ANSWER.

• They are usually monoecious with distinct male and female cones. They bear microsporophyll's directly on thecone exis. Their female cones have ovules borne on ovuliferous scales in the axils of bracts arising from the axis of cone. Coniferales represents an economically important group of gymnosperms.

• Female pine cones hold the seeds whereas male pine cones contain the pollen. Most conifers, or cone-bearing trees, have femaleand male pine cones on the same tree. A female pine cone, also called a megasporangiate strobilus, consists of coneor seed scales that hold two ovules, the unfertilized seeds.

BRIEFLY IF U WANT TO KNOW THEN .. ANS...

The male cone (microstrobilus or pollen cone) is structurally similar across all conifers, differing only in small ways (mostly in scale arrangement) from species to species.

The female cone (megastrobilus, seed cone, or ovulate cone) contains ovules which, when fertilized by pollen, become seeds.

I HOPE U LIKED MY ANS.
