hello friend....!!!

1) NAND gate :

⇒NAND gate is an AND gate followed by a NOT gate , if both the input A and B are '1 ' then the output Y is not '1' . the gate gets its name from this NOT AND behaviour . .

⇒NAND gate is also called universal gates .

2) NOR gate :

⇒ an NOR gate is a combination of an OR gate and an NOT gate . only if the both inputs are equal to ' 0 ' , the output is ' 1 ' . 

⇒ NOR gate is also considered as universal gates because , we can obtain all the gates like ND , OR , NOT by using only NOR gates .
