The outbreeding devices include -

1. Dichogamy : The ripening of stamens and stigma takes place at different time
2. Heterostyly : Long stamen and short style or short stamen and long stamen
3. Self sterility : Prevention of pollen germination on stigma of the same flower
4. Dicliny : Male and female reproductive organs are on different flowers of same plant like Maize
5. Herkogamy : Maturity of the reproductive organs at the same time but position of the organs is different
6. Dioecy : Male and female flowers as re present on different plants like in Papaya
