it is something which is used in working of vehicles. It is obtained under sea. It is extracted and being taken impurities.

Petroleum is formed from the the dead animals present under sea bed and when they dead soil, clay is settled on them and thus the dead animals turn to petroleum due to anaerobic respiration,high temperature,and high pressure.
As we know that Petroleum is a viscous and having very unpleasant odour in it and is a mixture of many other substances like petrol, petroleum gas, diesel, kerosene, etc. Refining of petroleum is separating various fractions of petroleum in fractionating column and it is done in Petroleum refinery.
We obtain different fractions from Petroleum at different temperatures.
