Looking at the bi sectional structure of a bean seed, it has two cotyledons that are the largest components. It also contains an embryo which consists the radicle and the plumule.
The hilum is a scar on the point at which the bean was attached to the fruit. A component refereed to as the hypocotyl can found between the roots and the cotyledon.
