When the mongoose, Rikki-Tikki, was found completely wearied and senseless in the garden path, by Teddy’s father and mother, they took him to their house and looked after the mongoose. Teddy’s father discovered that it was not dead and he was very kind to Rikki-Tikki while Teddy’s mother was little afraid of the mongoose and thought that it might be harmful towards their child, Teddy father assured that Teddy’s quite safer with Rikki-Tikki by his side. Even Teddy’s father also commented that, Rikki-Tikki was very brave and skillful. He thought would surely protect their child s well as their family from the dangerous poisonous cobras.
