The five principles of Binomial Nomenclature are -
1. The genus name is always written first with it's initial letter in capital letter.
2. Species name should be written after the genus name and it's initial letter is always small.
3. Both the names are usually Latin names or have Latin endings.
4. When printed, the scientific name is printed in italics.
5. When written by hand, the genus name and the species name have to be underlined separately.
