Sikandar Lodi, the second ruler of the Lodi dynasty, ruled Delhi from 1489 AD to 1570 AD. He was a brave fighter. The administration under his rule were as follows…
- Sikandar Lodi was a brave army officer as well as a wonderful administrator.
- He used to monitor every activity of his officers.
- He had made a provision to punish the guilty of any incident related to robbery, theft etc.
- He kept strong pressure on his temporary governors to do well and he always kept an eye on them.
- He took great care of the poor and ran many schemes for their benefit.
- He had made a secret system which kept a close watch on the state governors, officials, rich people of the state and other organizations and kept reporting to Lodhi from time to time.
- He maintained the secrecy of his post and did not get mixed up with everyone quickly.
- He never offered a higher position to a lower caste person.
- He got many new roads built.
- He had made a very circumspect system to maintain law and order in his state and to avoid incidents of theft etc.
Sikandar Lodi had transformed the entire system of his kingdom into a good administrative unit and controlled it efficiently in his hands.
