1.From 1848 nationalist feelngs were spread among german nationalist as they tried to unify the confederations of 39 states.

2.They were suppressed by aristocratic rulers,military who were supported by prussian farmers.

3.Hence Prussia took the leadership of the movement.

4.It's cheif minister ottoman bismark, had architect the process.In 7 years he had fought 3 wars with Austria, Denmark and France.

5. This way Germany was unified with william I as the german emperor.
