He was an old and trust worthy person who owns a shop on the Tehri Road, Garhwal District, Himachal Pradesh. In his shop Apart from tea, he used to sell chocolates and toffees to small children and as well as bigger ones. He had a very good personality but gradually he develops a bitter character after having admired Binya's pretty blue umbrella that she got from the crew if picnickers. As soon as he saw it, he fall in love with it. He was too a little envious of Binya for she was the only person in village who had such a lovely umbrella. He persuaded Binya to sell him the umbrella but she refused to do so, bcoz she herself had fallen in love with that umbrella. Unable to resist the greed to acquire the umbrella, he tries various wicked means to get the umbrella. He employed Rajaram to make an attempt to steal Binya's umbrella. When everyone got to know that Rajaram had tried to steal the umbrella on behalf of Ram Bharosa, everyone started hating him. From"Ram the trust worthy" he became"Trusty umbrella thief". Ever since then every one avoided his shop. Both he and his shop nearly dried up. But kind Binya brake the stigma by sacrificing her lovely umbrella to the old man, pretending to forget it in his shop. Then he realizes what a mistake he had made by making an attempt to steal the umbrella from Binya and hen he runs to her to give her the umbrella but then she refuses to do so....
