Suspension is a mixture in which the particle size is greater than 100nm.When light is passed through it , it is blocked. It is a mixture which contains particles which are insoluble in it and the insoluble particles may also settle down.
Ex : sandy water.

Colloidal is a mixture in which the particle size is between 1nm to 100nm. When light is passed through it , it shows tyndall effect. A colloidal solution, occasionally identified as a colloidal suspension, is a mixture in which the substances are regularly suspended in a fluid. A colloid is a minutely small material that is regularly spread out all through another substance.
Ex : emulsion solution.
