Explanation:

Consumerism is defined as the organized efforts by individuals, groups, and governments to protect consumers from all organizations concerning policies and practices that harm consumer rights to fair business practices. Consumerism protects consumers against useless, inferior, or dangerous products, and misleading advertisements. In India consumerism began in 1969 to raise consumer voices over the quality of goods where parliament passed an act for the welfare of consumers in 1986. Consumerism enables more industrial production, thus a high growth rate of the economy, which results in high employment rates.
