The condition of blacks in America was pitiful they were discriminated because of their dark complexion by the white . They could not share the same compartment in a train , their children could not attend the same school as the white and thus , they did not enjoy equal rights as the white .
Martin Luther king fought for equal rights for the black he initiated the protestant reformation . His ideas circulated in large number and were read widely .It was because of his consistent sincere efforts that the black today enjoy equal rights
Hope it helps
