France suffered from extreme poverty at thr moment and society was so racial that even the taxation was imposed on third class citizens I.e., nobility and clergy were free from all taxes and the system of taxation was much of unplanned like irrespective of royal government churches collected their own taxes, French economy completely collapsed even the government was in heavy loan which it failed to pay back and hence taxes were increases many folds and hunger became a common issue people were starving but the government made no compromise with its royality and implemented unpractical decisions.
