Rule of Ruler Harsha, which covered most of the dominant portions of Northern India.

Most of the people were exploited

Most of the people were exploited there was a clear distinction of ruling classes over the oppressed sections.

Half of the times they could not arrange enough money and had to starve.

So the economic as well and the societal conditions were improper.

There was demarcation made on the basis of castes and caste system existed.

So there was a decline in trade and commerce.
