The essential floral parts of Liliaceae are Androecium and Gynoecium. Androecium: Six stamens in two whorls, free or epiphyllous, anthers are dithecous basifixed, introrse, and dehisce longitudinally. Gynoecium: Tricarpellary, syncarpous, trilocular superior ovary with many ovules on axile placentation.
