The ethnic composition of Belgium is very complex with 59% of Dutch speakers in Flemish region and 40% of French speakers in Wallonia region with remaining 1% as Germans.
While in Sri Lanka, there were 74% of Sinhala speakers, and 18% of Tamil speakers with Sri Lankan Tamils as 13% and the rest as Indian Tamils whose forefathers came from India as plantation workers during colonial period.
The reasons for resentment among the communities are:
1. the majority did not showed any concern for the minority
2. the interests of the minority were always diregareded
3.the minority did not get any equality, be it in socially or politically.
