In this experiment, two gases - ammonia (NH3) and hydrogen chloride (HCl) will be used.
For the experiment, you need two glass tubes, two pads, and the solutions mentioned above.
NH3 is placed on a pad in one tube and NH4OH on a pad at the other.
After about a minute, the gas diffuses to meet and a ring of solid ammonium chloride is formed.
The experiment is done in a few minutes.
A black sheet behind the experiment helps to increase the visibility of the white rings.
