• Difference in latitudinal position: It is located higher than the equator so it is a little cooler.
• Altitude: Higher the altitude, lower the temperature.
• Distance from the sea: Places close to the sea enjoy equitable temperature, while those away from the sea experience extremes of the temperature.
This is the main reason why winter in Mumbai is is so mold compared to Delhi.
• Vegetation Cover: Forested areas provide shade and bring down the temperature.
• Wind: Winds coming from colder regions lower the temperature, while those coming from warmer region make the temperature higher.
