Gupta's ruled for two centuries. The wars fought by the rulers helped Gupta's expand their empire. Samudragupta, son of Chandragupta I, was greatest ruler of dynasty. He defeated four powerful kings and many smaller kings in North. Twelve rulers in Deccan and the far south kings of Nepal, Assam and Bengal and the tribes of vindhiya range.
