Dear Diary:
I have never thought I would see this day in my life! My own daughters,my own very blood and fresh,whom I reared and brought up with so much love and care,would be so meanly selfish!Oh! The pain! They assumed me dead,and not even sent for a doctor! Rather, began planning setttlement of my property, my insurance! Amelia could be so selfish! I had not the slightest idea. She sneaked my bureau, slippers, and clock away downstairs! It is enough. I will teach them a lesson. I will go ahead with my marriage with Mrs.John Shorrocks, which I had been postponing for their sake. I will have my newly made. I won't leave a single penny from my hard earned wealth. They neither deserve me nor my property and wealth.
