When the narrator was staring on the ceiling, the ghost materialized herself and came in front of him. The narrotor, first thought that it was someone who is willing to join him as an assisstant. But, he understood that it was the ghost; and then the ghost said about their 'strikes', and about the ouija boards. The ghost insisted him that it will help him after he throw off the ouija boards. It also said him about the bureau, which is made for the writer's inspiration. The reaction of the narrator is very-shocking.

Helen,the ghost had been helping d narrator to write ghost stories as she had been asdigned to him by the bureau and she had helped him write many ghost stories.However,she was now going on strike bcoz the new trend of using d ouija boards had left d spirits exhausted nd exasperated.people were involving the spirits and then asking them d stupidest of questions,which they were forced to answer.she agreed to continue helping d narrator,only if he convinced his friends nd acquaintances 2 stop using d ouija board!
