Thrombocytosis (throm-boe-sie-TOE-sis) is a disorder in which your body produces too many platelets. It's called reactive thrombocytosis or secondary thrombocytosis when the cause is an underlying condition, such as an infection.
In addition to the bone marrow making too many platelets, the platelets also are abnormal in primary thrombocythemia. They may form blood clots or, surprisingly, causebleeding when they don't work well.Bleeding also can occur because of a condition that develops called von Willebrand disease.

Atherosclerosis is a condition where the arteries become narrowed and hardened due to a buildup of plaque around the artery wall. It is also known as arteriosclerotic vascular disease. The disease disrupts the flow of blood around the body, posing the risk of serious complications.

Atherosclerosis is a narrowing of the arteries caused by a buildup of plaque. It's also called arteriosclerosis or hardening of the arteries. Arteries are the blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from your heart to the rest of your body.

a) atherosclerosis:
sometimes deposition of calcium fat cholesterol and fibrous tissue occurs in the blood vessel example coronary artery supplying blood to the heart muscles this condition makes the lumen of arteries narrowing affecting the blood supply to the heart which leads to the coronary artery disease (CAD )also referred to as atherosclerosis

b) thrombocytosis:
blood platelets are self fragments produced from the Megakaryotes ( they are specialised cells in the bone marrow )and also referred as thermobocytes normal blood contains 150000 to 350000 platelets m
 {m}^{3}
thrombocytes release variety
of substances like thermbokinase most of which are involved in blood clotting a significant role in the count of blood platelets can lead to clotting disorders which will lead to excessive blood loss from the body

hope it may help u
