4) Endoskeleton is Cartilagenous.
5) Mouth is on ventral side.
6) 5-7 pairs of gill slits are present for respiration.
7) Opernaculam (it is a cover on the gills) is absent.
8) Heterocercal type of tail is present.
9) Liver is bilobed.
10) Fertilization is Internal.
11) They are viviparous.
12) Excreatory waste is UREA.
