Life is not always about joy and happiness. It comes with hardships and unpredictable yet unavoidable situations as well.
Natural disasters work as a waking call to the humans. They are unpredictable and if not taken correct measures at the right time then it can cost us humans our lives.
Encounters like these are not easy to face but the world should know about it in order to be more precautious in the future times because we never know, what might happen the very next moment.
It is about March 2020. An earthquake of 5 richter scale hit the ground. It was so sudden that it left us all in a complete shock. The ceiling fans were waving as if it will fall the very next moment, the furniture was shaking and sliding all over the place. I was doing my homework at that time and my study table shook so quickly that all my books and stationary fell. My chair glided from my study place to my room entrance. Since, we were living in a multi-story building, there was more danger as the building could collapse at any moment. Somehow, me and my family managed to get out of the flat and reach the ground floor. The neighbours were running here and there. Cries and screaming people all over. Our society is big so we quickly rushed to the open playground of our society which was quite far from the tall buildings. It was hard but was the most required thing at that moment. The earthquake lasted for 5 minutes. Luckily, we reached the open ground sooner. We were surrounded by many of our neighbours as well.
When the situation got under control, a meeting was called by the secretary to confirm if everyone was safe and sound. Luckily, we all were safe. We all took required measures, whatever possible at that moment.
The disaster made us all terrified but I am happy with the fact that now a days people are more and more aware of the right precautions to take in such situations.
