The modern English language of today, has evolved and emerged today as the most popular language because of many reasons.

First, English and Latin got mixed, because of the exposure of the English people with the Romans in 42-43 BC.

Later, Germans came in contact with the English, so German words were also included.

Further, French and English were mixed.

After invading India, English language as evolved and introduced many words in English from Sanskrit language.

As English people moved, the vocabulary and the popularity of English language improved steadily and slowly, it reached all over the world and these movements and exposure, led to the dissemination of English.

The English language underwent huge transformation after they came across the Romans in the 43 B.C.E.

The English language comprises of several words in Latin that is a direct contribution of the Romans.

Post the departure of the Romans it was the German tribes that set its feet in the British isles, and the period was referred to as the period of Old English.

Many other tribes like the Normans and the French invaded Britain too, but no one could replace English.
