The important features of land revenue:

• Mughal's land revenue collection method was far better compared to the British. They had two major reasons for land revenue collection such as land assessment and collection.
• After an assessment, the details of the land will be recorded in the written format known as "patta" and part of the revenue was collected.
• Akbar brought changes to the assessment system by classifying yield into low, mid and high and collecting taxes, which is one-third of the total land revenue. He encouraged peasants to directly deposit into the treasury.
