to protest against the arrest of leaders people gathered at jallianwala Bagh on 13 April 1919. General Dyer reached there with his troop and ordered to open fire at the unarmed crowd. Nearly 400 people died and thousands wounded. After this martial law was imposed in Punjab and repressive measures were followed
