She discovered her passion for tennis at a very young age and so she moved to US when she was very young to train at Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy.

She became a professional player at 14 years old and won the Wimbledon title for women's single in 2004.

She won the French Open in 2012 which made her the 10th woman to achieve a Grand Slam.
