Answer: A river journey have 3 stages .

1) Young River - the upper course

2)Middle Aged River - the middle course

3) Old River - the lower course

Young river :- The beginning of a river, when it flows quickly with lots of energy, is called a young river. The river here is smaller and usually has a rapid, tumbling flow that cuts a narrow channel through rocky hills or mountains.

Middle Aged River :- The middle of a river’s journey, when it gets wider and slows down, is called the middle age.

Old river :- When the river reaches the end of its journey, it is called an old river. The end of the river is called the mouth.

river like any living form has a life cycle it takes birth in a mountain or hill becomes larger where it made by a number of tributaries Rose over planes and finally and when reaches the sea in its early stage , the river is young 8 flows over the steep mountains where its rate of erosion is maximum due to down cutting work of a river it forms striking youthful features like 'I' shaped and 'V' shaped valleys water falls etc. as the stage of maturity the volume of water increases and the shape of land decreases resulting in slow speech of the river during this stage the river is said to flow through meaders .Before meeting the sea the river becomes large and sluggish and gets divided into several distributeries.it now comes to its old stage . the river has deposit slit,sand and sediments. over a large area near it's mouth.
