French Revolution (1789) announced the arrival of political sovereignity at the level of individuals as well as national states.The ideas of liberty and democratic rights were the most important legacy of the French Revolution. Declaration of human rights asserted equality of all citizens . It questioned the privileges inherited by birth. It was the emancipation of thr oppressed and og individuals from religion. Serfs fought for freedom from the feudal Lords and peasants freed themselves from bond. Numerous taxes paid to the churches and feudal Lords by the peasants were cancelled. Every individual would now be equal before law . These spread from France to the rest of Europe during the nineteenth century, where feudal systems were abolished. It inspired the Germans, Italians, and Austrians to overthrow their oppressive regimes. The ideals of the French Revolution were - liberty, fraternity and equality.
