The True Beauty

The poem The True Beauty has been written by Thomas Carew who is an efficient English poet who mainly emphasise on opposing the materialistic possesions. In this poem, he takes an example of a women. He states that people like the women when she applies her make up, makes her cheeks rosey, applies beauty implements, etc. Eventually he compares materialistic beauty and real beauty in two parts of poem. In first part, he explains that people nlw give more preference to the beauty which is being displayed like physical beauty. Peoe get attracted towards that women due to that. They don't even care to find how the women is in real. On the other hand, in second part poet endorses on real beauty. Real beauty is the beauty of a person which is immaterial. These beauty comes as eternal and people develop it. Their behaviour and nature signifies their real beauty.

Physical Beauty is just temporary and will vanish and fade away by time. Appearance, fashion, dress up, etc. all come in physical beauty. Whereas real beauty lies in a person's heart. It is eternal and will exist with people along the age they live. Their nature, behaviour, kindness, qualities, etc. all come into it.

In this poem the poet praises spiritual beauty - the beauty of mind and soul and hates physical beauty without virtues .The physical beauty - rosy cheeks coral lips star like eyes decreases as the timepases.

As a result the lover feeling for his beloved cooled down on the other hand love bases on gentlesnes and purity of mind is everlasting It go on inspiring the lover with greater eagerness and power .
