The malaria parasite life cycle involves two hosts. During a blood meal, a malaria-infected female Anopheles mosquito inoculates sporozoites into the human host . ... Merozoites infect red blood cells . The ring stage trophozoites mature into schizonts, which rupture releasing merozoites .

Ans- The human infection begins when an infected female anopheles mosquito bites a person and injects infected with sporozoites saliva into the blood circulation. That is the first life stage of plasmodium (stage of infection). These sporozoites find their way to the liver and are converted into schizonts (Erythrocytic phase) that are then release into bloodstream (Exo-erythrocytic phase). After this, schizonts are converted into microgametocytes and mega-gametocytes that are ingested by mosquitoes.
