The limitations of the ideal gas equation, PV =Rt are :

1. The kinetic theory assumes that gas particles occupy a negligible fraction of the total volume of the gas.

2. It also assumes that the force of attraction between gas molecules is zero. These limitations were corrected by Vander waal known as the real gas equation.
