What was Civil Disobedience Movement ?
Civil Disobedience Movement was a movement which was started under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi in 1930. The movement was initiated with the salt march.
The main features of the Civil Disobedience Movememt in 1930 are -
⇒ The movement began in order to defy and break the laws which were made by Britishers.
⇒ The people living in forest refused to follow forest laws.
⇒ Peasants refused to pay revenue and also boycotted foreign clothes.
⇒ Liquor shops and chaukidari taxes were picketed.
⇒ The movement saw a huge participation of womens.

⇒ The Indian National Congress ( INC ) started the Civil Disobedience Movement in February 1930 at Sabarmati Ashram .
⇒ Mahatma Gandhi was one of the leaders of this Movement .
⇒ Before starting the movement , Gandhiji served an Eleven Point Ultimatum on the British Government .
