1. Horizontal power sharing - Power is shared among differnent organs of government. Such as legislature,executive and Judicary.Ex.-India
2.Federal government - Power can be shared among government at different levels , a general government , government at provincial and regional level. Ex.-USA
3. Power may also be shared among different social groups such as religious and linguistic. Ex.-'Community government' in Belgium.
4. Power sharing can also be seen in the way political parties , pressure groups and movement control or influence those in power.
